Tinnitus Affects Millions

Tinnitus is the perception of sound in the ear and is also known as “ringing in the ear.” It can be perceived in one ear, both ears, or head and is usually described as a ringing noise. Some patients, however, the report by more than a shrill whining, buzzing, hissing, buzzing, or hissing sound. Tinnitus has also been described as a “Whoosh” sound as the sound of the wind or make waves. The sounds produced by the tinnitus in the patient may come and go or may be a continuous sound.
