Tinnitus is the perception of sound in the ear and is also known as “ringing in the ear.” It can be perceived in one ear, both ears, or head and is usually described as a ringing noise. Some patients, however, the report by more than a shrill whining, buzzing, hissing, buzzing, or hissing sound.
