The development of laser technology is considered one of the great advances in the medical and dental twentieth century. Its application allows for a great change by reducing surgical time and patient recovery.

The name “Laser” is an acronym formed from the initials English “Light Amplification by Stimulate Emission of Radiation” (light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation).

Laser research in the area of dentistry began in the early years of the decade of 60, and since then its potential use as “Strawberry” has been the dream of patients and dentists, because as we know, what more anxiety generated in the dental visit is the rotary instruments, which has been identified as the most traumatic component in dental therapy.
